The story follows the journey of a young woman who is sent to a convent in order to save her soul. The convent is a harsh place and she is forced to do hard labor. She is also constantly bullied by the other nuns. She is eventually able to make friends with a girl named Sarah and they become close. Sarah helps her to find her faith and she is able to learn to forgive the nuns.
