Isabel Allende Llona (born August 2, 1942 in Lima, Peru) is a Chilean writer. She is one of the most prominent woman writers in Latin America and she is considered to be the “the world’s most widely read Spanish-language author”. Some of her novels include The House of the Spirits (1982) and Eva Luna (1987).
