Distinguished Canadian-American architect Frank Owen Gehry has been called "the most important architect of our age" by Vanity Fair. Many of the buildings he has designed, including his private residence in Los Angeles, have become tourist attractions. Some of Gehry's best known works include the venerable Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, The Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany. Gehry was awarded the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 1989 for his design of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
