Josh is a smart, talented, and popular high school student, but he's also struggling with the normal teenage angst and problems. One day, Josh's life changes when he meets a girl named Caley, who is a year older and out of his league. Caley starts to change everything for Josh, and he starts to fall in love with her. Caley is mysterious and almost inaccessible, but Josh is determined to figure out what makes her so special. As Josh starts to get closer to Caley, he finds out that she's been running away from her problems. Caley tells Josh that she's trying to find a way out of her family's problems, and she's afraid that she'll become a part of that problem if she stays in town.
