After being kicked out of college, Jack moves back in with his parents in their farm in upstate New York. He finds work as a farm hand and starts to reconnect with his family. One day, he sees a woman dancing in the cornfield and is mesmerized by her movement. He starts to learn to dance and starts to go to dances with friends. The more he dances, the more he realizes that he's a slow dancer and the more he starts to enjoy it.
