Union officer Nathan Parker and his men were imprisoned at Georgia's Andersonville prison camp in July of 1864. While witnessing the death of other soldiers, Parker and his men hatch his daring escape to Vicksburg where he petitions for military action which is blocked by higher-ups. For the private rescue mission to save his men, Parker enlists the help of Marcel Lafarge, a dangerous ex-soldier and smuggler.
