Gordon At Khartoum is the story of Gordon, an Englishman who is captured by the Egyptians during the Anglo-Egyptian War of 1882. He is held as a prisoner of war at Khartoum for the next three years. During his captivity, Gordon becomes close to his jailer, Hassan, and to the other prisoners. He also becomes involved in the plotting against the Egyptian ruler, Ismail Pasha.
