A young boy, scared and alone, climbs up a roof to escape a storm. He finds a home up there, a family that welcomes him and helps him feel at ease. But when the storm dies down, the boy realizes he has to leave. He bids farewell to his new friends and climbs down the roof, leaving them behind. Years go by and the boy grows up. One day, he returns to the house to find that it has been replaced by a new one. He climbs up to the new roof and finds the family he once knew has now grown up and moved away.
