Gift inscription to the verso of the inside cover, "Merry Christmas Ginny, Eddie 1980." small pen mark to the upper right hand corner of the front cover. A scarce copy, rare to find signed.

When he became president upon Richard Nixon's resignation on August 9, 1974, he became the first and to date only person to have served as both Vice President and President of the United States without being elected by the Electoral College. Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr. was born Leslie Lynch King, Jr. on July 14, 1913 in Omaha, Nebraska. Ford was the 38th President of the United States, coming to power after the resignation of President Nixon in 1974. Ford’s last memoir, A Presidential Legacy and The Warren Commission, gives an outlook of an American president in the years before his death. Ford died on December 26, 2006 in Rancho Mirage, California.
