A wonderful first edition/first printing in about Fine condition. Rough yellow paper boards sides with white cloth shelfback; black lettering and border design, BAL 3527. The Very Good+, slightly spine-faded dustjacket shows some chipping with a few small tears. Scarce to find with acceptable wrapper.

A collection of sketches, most of which were taken from a series the author wrote for The Galaxy from May 1870, to April 1871. The rest appeared in The Buffalo Express; Small 8vo; [x], 140, [2] pages.
