The Dancing Floor is the story of two families, the Hamiltons and the Stewarts, who live in the same house on the same street in the same town. The two families have always been close, but when the Hamiltons' daughter, Jane, starts dating John Stewart, the Stewart's son, the families start to clash. The Hamiltons think that John is too wild and John thinks that the Hamiltons are too strict. The conflict between the families only gets worse when John and Jane break up.
