Wallace Stevens was born in 1879 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania, where he became friends with Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot. Stevens wrote his first poems while at Penn, and he published his first book of poems in 1907. Stevens moved to New York in 1913 and published many more books of poems during the next decade. He died in 1923.; 8vo; 591 pages.
