Anthropology

Anthropology is the study of culture and humanity. It comes from the Greek "anthropos," meaning "man," and "logia," meaning "study." The field of anthropology was first defined in 1501 by the German philosopher Magnus Hundt. Anthropology includes the fields of archaeology and paleontology. While one might think that only academics would contribute to the field of anthropology, legendary authors like VS Naipaul and John Steinbeck have contributed to the field.
