Grisham, John

John Grisham was born February 8, 1955 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Before becoming a bestselling author, John Grisham was a successful lawyer and a politician. In his career as an author, he writes legal thrillers, such as A Time to Kill, The Last Juror, and The Testament. Many of his books are based on his legal experiences in court rooms. A large number of his books were the basis for major motion pictures, e.g., The Firm starring Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman and The Pelican Brief with movie legends Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington.
