In the dark days of the 1930s, a little girl named Nellie is sent to live with her brutal, alcoholic father in a remote cabin in the woods. Nellie hates her father and longs for the day she can escape back to the loving arms of her mother. But when Nellie's father starts to exhibit strange behavior, she realizes that he may not be able to help her escape after all.
