Nobel Laureate Pinter's play in three acts is set in West London in 1959, involving the interaction of a tramp (Davies) , a mentally challenged younger man (Aston) and his younger brother (Mick). It was first performed at the Arts Theatre, London on 27th of April 1960 with the following cast: Mick, Alan Bates; Aston, Peter Woodthorpe; Davies, Donald Pleasence. Film version released in 1964, directed by Clive Donner.
