In the 1920s, a madman known only as The Black Watcher terrorizes the small town of Covington, Indiana. The townsfolk are terrified of him, but they don't know what to do about it. The Black Watcher is a shadowy figure, shrouded in darkness, who never speaks. He only leaves his mark--dead animals, burned buildings, and terrified people.

One day, the townsfolk stumble upon a manuscript that seems to shed light on the Black Watcher's motives. The manuscript reveals that the Black Watcher is a reincarnated spirit of a vengeful Indian warrior. The townspeople are finally able to put a stop to the Black Watcher, but not before he has inflicted untold misery on Covington.; 18mo; 260 pages.
