The novel is set in the fictional town of Ogunquit, Maine, in the early 1990s. A young woman, Alice, is found dead in her home, and the local police are stumped as to how she died. Alice's husband, Tom, is a suspect, but he is the only one who had access to the home at the time of the crime. The police are also perplexed by the fact that Alice's death appears to be a copycat murder of another woman who was killed a few months earlier. As the investigation into Alice's death progresses, the police come to believe that Tom was involved in both murders and that he is planning to kill again. They are able to capture Tom and bring him to justice.; A Claire Malloy Mystery; 8vo; Signed by Author.
