Collins tells the story of a man who, after a long journey, arrives in a town where he is immediately drawn to the lobster market. He becomes obsessed with the creatures, imagining how they must feel in their ocean home. He spends every free moment exploring the market, talking to the vendors, and learning about the history of lobsters. One day, he comes across a lobster that is particularly large and beautiful. He buys it, and takes it home to cook. The lobster is delicious, but the man is also strangely sad. He wonders why he is so drawn to these creatures, and then he realizes that he is dreaming. When he wakes up, he is relieved to find that the lobster was only a dream, and he can go back to being a normal person.; 8vo; FSA.
