Good condition with a cocked spine, page edge and board soiling, fraying and rubbing to the corners, and the spine hinge is starting and there are some loose pages in the front in addition to some writing on the front pastedown.

President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14, 1865, and was buried in Springfield, Illinois. On July 12, 1865, his body was moved to Washington, D.C., and placed in a crypt in the Capitol. In 1876, the National Capital Repository was established and the remains of President Lincoln were placed in a sarcophagus there. In 1913, Congress authorized the construction of a national monument to commemorate the 16th president and his life. The Lincoln Monument was dedicated on April 12, 1922.; 8vo ; 458 pages.
