Ethel Schwabacher was born in 1892 in a small town in Illinois. After completing her undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College, she moved to New York City to study at Columbia University. Schwabacher’s writing is marked by its lyrical, poetic quality, and her work often explores the human condition. She died in 1985.
