Carolyn Gold Heilbrun (born January 13, 1926 in East Orange, New Jersey) was an American feminist author and mystery novelist. Her Kate Fansler mystery series consists of fourteen novels, which she wrote under the pen name Amanda Cross. Heilbrun died on October 9, 2003 in New York.
